![]() It just means that both have seen something that makes them think this hand matters. Now that doesn't mean that both have to have good hands ("My straight flush beats your four of a kind" ugh. Like good generals, good poker players are going to try to choose their field of battle, so they're not going to fight over some random hand, they're going to wait, and wait, and wait, and wait, and wait even longer than anyone else thinks is possible before they both get involved in a big hand. ![]() The problem with dealing out hands is that, in an Old West-style no-limit game, there's probably only going to be a couple of hands that truly matter (see The Cincinati Kid for example, or Rounders where everything hinged on a final hand).
